Our goal is to encourage our young residents to become more active. Initiative GO DDO also provides families the opportunities to live and participate in a healthy lifestyle. Through are varied programs and instructors we educate those around us on how to achieve a healthy, well balanced lifestyle.

Activities in the parks
Initiative Go DDO is challenging youth to be more active! This summer, there will be animated activities in Dollard-des-Ormeaux parks for youth ages 8 to 15 years old.
Returning Summer 2023
Badminton
The Dollard-des-Ormeaux Aquatic Association, jointly with Initiative Go DDO, invites you to come play badminton with family and friends at École Dollard-des-Ormeaux’s gymnasium. Recreational, non competitive play.
Bust a move
Join us for a fun free workout every Monday night at the Dollard-des-Ormeaux park. Bring your family, friends and energy! Registration is required.
Returning Summer 2023
Family yoga
This fun, silly and soothing class introduces yoga ad mindfulness in a playful way. Expect to roar like a lion, wag your doggy tail, laugh in a partner pose, and move your body in fun and challenging ways! We will use yoga poses and creative movement to go on adventures, and we’ll learn strategies to calm our bodies and minds. This is a parent ( or grandparent/caregiver) participating class.
7 Sports
Sports activities for children ages 2 to 6 years old.
Why choose 1 sport when you can do 7?
This program has 4 main objectives; building confidence, discovery, development and most importantly FUN!
Junior Jams
This action packed class is a fun introduction to movement and popular styles of dance for children ages 6 to 8 years.
Mom and Baby Groove
This is a prefect class for both little ones (ages 4 months to 5 years) and their parents. This class is full of movements that can be done with your little ones in a baby carrier or dancing side by side.
Pickleball
Combine tennis, racquetball, table tennis, and badminton, and you’ll get Pickleball! It is a fast paced, low impact game that is great for hand-eye coordination, mental alertness and to encourage socialization! Equipment provided.
Red Cross-Babysitting Course
This course is developed for youths 11 to 15 years old. The course focuses on five main areas: child caregiving, first aid, injury prevention, leadership and business skills. Youth learn through ineractive, fun activities, and problem solving scenarios and practice. Participants receive the Canadian Red Cross Babysitter’s manual and a wallet card that confirms that have completed the course.

Red Cross - Stay safe
Real-world scenarios often call on children to respond to challenges. The Stay Safe! program teaches applicable and age-appropriate skills, while increasing and reinforcing a youth’s capacity to improve his or her own safety. Whether in their community or on their own, this group will be given better tools to Stay Safe! in a variety of different situations.

Teen action
Teen Action provides teenagers with the chance to meet new people, gain independence, as well as enjoy a fun filled activities.
Outdoor Skating
Initiative GoDDO in partnership with the AADDO and the City of Dollard-des-Ormeaux is happy to bring you FREE SKATE – a new free outdoor skating program at Sunnybrooke Park.
