Adult Bereavement Support Group – Free

April 4, 2022

NOVA West Island offers free Adult Bereavement Support Groups throughout the year. An 8-week closed session is facilitated by a social worker specialized in bereavement to help adults who are in mourning and who feel the loss of a loved one. This will help process the death and work through different tasks so that their grieving becomes part of the fabric of their lives, as well as process some of the bitter memories to make room for sweet ones. It is based on the William Worden’s Tasks of Grief to help acknowledge at every level that their person died, allowing the feelings associated with this knowledge, rebuilding their life without the person physically in it and finding ways to reintegrate their person into their lives. Next session is planned for April 2022. For more information and/or to register, please call Gail at 514-695-8335, x207.
