Certificate of location

General principles

To comply with Urban planning Bylaws governing Dollard-des-Ormeaux, a certificate of location is required to authorize any new construction, any increase of the site coverage, or moving of an existing structure, anywhere in the City.

The certificate attests the actual situation of a property.

Anyone contravening to any provisions of the permits and certificates bylaw is liable to a $50 to $4,000 fine.

Conformity of the application

If the application does not conform, the inspector must refuse the certificate and explain the nature of the non-conformity.

Whosoever contravenes Bylaw 91-808 is liable to a statement of offence, except if, after having been notified of the nature of the offence, the offender conforms himself to the bylaw within the prescribed period of time.
